The Purple Crayon
Created and maintained by children's editor Harold D. Underdown, co-author of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Publishing Children's Books, the site offers useful articles for aspiring children's writers, tracks the careers of children's book editors, and offers links to on-line discussion groups.
SCBWI is the largest children's writing organization in the world. It offers a variety of useful services to aspiring and published writers and illustrators of children’s literature.
