Research Notes
“While I was writing this book, I took a field trip to my local movie theater to see the animated film "Bee Movie." I was surprised how accurate the scenes inside the hive really were. I guess the animators really did their homework. I also took a trip to a local beekeeper’s home. He was so excited to show me his hives. I was excited to try some of the fresh honey--even if it does contain bee spit."
